Some people strike a chord in you, as soon as you see them. It’s exactly what happened to me with Enrica and Jan, who contacted me for a double shooting. We took prewedding photos at sunrise in Florence and emotional pictures of their bohemian and rock wedding at La Valle farmhouse and Casa Masi in Montaione (Tuscany). Get inspired!
Enrica and Jan’s prewedding photos at sunrise
I met this young, Swiss couple two days before their marriage, to shoot some prewedding photos in the heart of Florence. If I had to describe Enrica and Jan in two words, they would be: unconventional and gorgeous. When I first saw them, I immediately understood that this encounter could turn out to be interesting and different than usual – and I was right.
Taking the prewedding photos at sunrise allowed us to enjoy a quiet and empty city center, that we explored and captured in all of its most iconic spots. The result of the shooting are elegant, tender, and charming images thanks to Enrica and Jan’s attitude – they felt very comfortable in front of the camera and were always open to my suggestions – and to the delicate, suffused light.
A romantic, rock wedding in Tuscany
Two days later it was time for their rock wedding, carefully curated in all of its details. The setup design wasdelightful: the amazing flowers perfectly aligned with the couple’s personality and the macramé decorations for the ceremony and mise en place – handmade by Enrica! – gave a final, unique touch.
I like to describe this as a “rock wedding” because I think it was unusual and full of energy, and at the same time it was also definitely romantic thanks to the boho atmosphere.
The bride and groom got ready and married at La Valle farmhouse, where love and joyful vibes filled the air from the very first moment, and then they moved to Casa Masi for the reception. Every detail contributed to making this rock wedding truly magical, and I think you can feel that alchemy from the photos too: they talk about simplicity, about a true and long-lasting bond, about two beautiful souls – inside and out.
