These sunset engagement photos are exactly like that: they perfectly represent the essence of their protagonists, enhanced by the incredible landscape of Val d’Orcia.
Vanessa and Florian’s sunset engagement photos
Vanessa and Florian are two positive souls, originally from the U.S.A. but living in Germany for work. They chose Tuscany and the picturesque Val d’Orcia as a destination for their holiday, and they wanted to keep a special memory of it. That’s why they contacted me, to shoot their sunset engagement photos in the countryside. Why at sunset? Because the light of the golden hour makes everything glow, and the magic multiplies – as you can see yourself from the gallery.
We started the session in Pienza, a charming village and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the “Ideal City” which was built following the principles and philosophy of the Renaissance. Those moments gave us the chance to break the ice and get to know each other, with some first elegant shots full of smiles and love gestures taken among the wooden gates and exposed-bricks walls of the town. After that, it was time for the actual sunset engagement photos…
The magic of a photo shoot in Val d’Orcia, Tuscany
When you organize an outdoors shooting, many elements contribute to the final result. The natural or man-made landscape, the weather, the light conditions and the season are only a few of them. Well, Vanessa and Florian couldn’t have chosen a better combination for their experience: the session took place on May 20, when the fields that cover the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia are still green and lush, on a wonderful sunny day. The perfect backdrop for memorable sunset engagement photos!
In such an ideal setting, they felt free to play, to let loose, to show their love, passion and happiness to the very last drop. And I think you can see all of this from their expressions in these pictures.
