Romantic couple photoshoot in the scenic countryside of Tuscany
It’s not a secret: Tuscany and its countryside are such beautiful scenery that they became iconic. And day after day, year after year, they attract more and more tourists, future spouses… and newlyweds!
Anke and Marco came to this Italian region on holiday last summer, after getting married in Germany. They contacted me for a romantic couple photoshoot which wasn’t what they expected – it was even better!
Anke and Marco’s romantic couple photoshoot
When Anke and Marco – a sweet, German couple who got married in 2020 – booked their romantic photoshoot with me they had a specific idea in mind. They wanted to take advantage of their vacation in Tuscany to take photos of them wearing their wedding dress and suit.
But life surprises us all the time, doesn’t it? Just a few months after the wedding, Anke got pregnant – congratulations! – and that changed the plan for the shooting. They ended up wearing cute everyday outfits, but that didn’t ruin the magic of the moment.
If any, it made the couple’s photoshoot even more romantic: they felt at ease, completely free to be themselves and express their love to one another. And to play with their adorable puppy too!
The scenery that surrounded us and the light completed the atmosphere: as you can see, the photos are truly enchanting. And I must say we also had a lot of fun while shooting them.
The magic of Val d’Orcia, Tuscany
Anke and Marco were dreaming of being the protagonists of charming Tuscan countryside photos. When they told me, I thought that the best setting for that surely was the Val d’Orcia and its rolling hills: I believe that’s probably the most beautiful spot in the region.
We started the romantic couple photoshoot in Pienza, a Medieval hamlet near Siena, tucked among the picturesque hills. Roaming its alleys and stopping in front of historic wooden doors, we had the chance to break the ice and get to know each other.
After that, it was time for the Tuscan countryside. We wandered around, following avenues of cypresses, white paths in between fields, and playing with the lines of the hills. That’s when the light became absolutely perfect, allowing us to shoot some truly memorable photos that they will cherish forever – and show to their baby one day.
