When you fly across the globe to visit an iconic place like Tuscany, you surely want to make the most out of it. Linda and Clement’s romantic engagement pictures
This couple from Hong Kong came to Tuscany on holiday to spend some time with their parents in their house in Radicofani, a small village in Val d’Orcia. On that occasion, they contacted me because they wanted some pre-wedding images in such a beautiful environment. The result of our shooting, taken between the hamlet of Pienza and the countryside of Val d’Orcia, are the romantic engagement pictures collected in the gallery at the end of the page.
Linda and Clement have an innate elegance that stands out from every single photograph we took. Their refined outfits were also adding up to the overall atmosphere: he was wearing a spotless black suit with a bow tie, and she wore two different gowns – one was more simple yet sophisticated, while the other one was a dreamy wedding dress. This would have been enough already, but the setting helped make their romantic engagement pictures even more memorable.
Delicate pre-wedding images in Pienza and Val d’Orcia
The photo shoot started in the picturesque village of Pienza, in Tuscany: we strolled its alleys to find the best backgrounds – ancient wooden gates, exposed brick walls, and the view over the valley. It took just a few shots to break the ice and make Linda and Clement feel completely comfortable in front of the camera: that’s the first step towards incredibly beautiful photos.
We then moved to the countryside of Val d’Orcia, an amazing area characterized by rolling hills covered in vineyards and white avenues lined with cypresses. The sky was a bit grey at that point, but that was not a problem – in fact, it allowed the light to be suffused and delicate, as these romantic engagement pictures show.
