With the glamorous destination wedding ideas swarming the social media every day and the heart melting couples showing off their love with flamboyance, one is always left intrigued which kind of wedding defines them the best on their big day! The bride and the groom always have a fantasy in their mind about the venue, the lighting, the dress, flowers and everything.

Well, there is a reason Tuscan countryside destination weddings are insanely popular. They have an elegant touch to them with flowering trees and lush green fresh fields. This floral infused countryside wedding that I recently covered highlighted the fresh green fields in the background with my camera lens taking a sneak peek at this couple’s romance depicted a pretty intense love affair. With fresh flowers, green fields and all things whimsical in this beautiful wedding, let me try to bring you along behind the scenes as I embark on this task of telling a tale of two love birds!

With guests attending from all across the world on a warm and beautiful day in early September, Nikita and David from Geneva knew a destination wedding in Italy made a perfect sense to them. They wanted a feeling of old-world charm, smell of the goodness of fresh air with celebration of their big day close to nature. The destination wedding at Florence countryside did just the trick! The countryside of Florence looked magnificent on the couple’s big day. The wedding was celebrated in a villa just outside the historical town, in the most silent and serene atmosphere. It was a perfectly designed dreamy villa set in the Tuscan hilltops with a wonderful view on Florence valley near the historical town, called “Villa Le Fontanelle” which had sophisticated outdoor and indoor spaces. With the classic Italian garden for outdoor symbolic ceremonies to the chapel for the religious ceremonies, this destination is perfect in every sense. The most significant area of this venue is Fortress which allows for terrific photoshoot. The beautiful terrace with picturesque view of Florence Duomo is another place which totally stole my heart!

The couple wanted to find a venue that could hold enough number of guests without looking congested as well as looked royal and elegant as well. The idea of countryside wedding was something that just clicked for them. The relaxing and soothing atmosphere of the countryside with purple flowers sprouting in the green fields was really rejuvenating. The melodious music and sweet symphonies played in the background.

Being close to nature, raw and organic, the venue was decorated with the freshly picked purple flowers, most of which were foraged from the venue grounds. The wedding theme of green and purple was eye catchy and fun. As the bride got dolled up in the glamorous limonaia suite, I was allowed to photograph her. The bride undoubtedly looked exquisitely charming. The candid laughter and exchange of jolliness between her and the bridesmaids was duly captured by me. The most beautiful thing I captured here when the bride opened David’s letter presented to her in a special box which read “ten reasons why I can’t wait to marry you”. The emotions could be seen overflowing from bride’s eyes as she wore the delicate silver bracelet which accompanied the letter from the groom and her eyes sparkling like two emeralds. I was left in awe being struck by sentiments and beauty of the moment!

The bride looked disarmingly beautiful with her graceful smile, radiant skin and the beautiful voluminous gown that enchanted her guests since her entrance to the ceremony. Not to forget the shoes! Although few would have caught a glimpse of the classy shoes under the flair of gown, but the shoes were really worth all the sight.

The wedding day was perfectly organized and was more like a dream come true for the beloved couple. It looked like a style savvy wedding and everyone was overjoyed to see the gorgeous bride’s journey down the altar. Everyone sinked in the moment with the musicians playing the instruments with all their heart and soul and sprinkling magic in the air with their melodies.

David and his groomsmen dressed up at the Fortino and these background moments were beautifully captured by my co-worker Vincenzo Bologna who helped me document this magnificent wedding story. The symbolic ceremony was staged outdoors near the chapel with the celebrant waiting. The chapel was sheltered from the sun by the ancient surrounding trees. With the celebrant asking for the Bride and bridegroom’s consent, the vows were made and love was all that could be felt in the air. The wedding was intimate with the couple’s parents, brothers, sisters providing endless support during the planning which was something I truly loved.

The audience included greatest friends and well-wishers of the couple who were so excited. A stunner of a wedding cake made live that tasted as good as it looked is worth mentioning because I truly savored it. All the supportive friends and family of the couple have my endless amount of admiration. I believe that this wedding really couldn’t have been pulled off without their generosity and their kindness.

After a brief cocktail, the photo shoot was made into the venue with the area of the Chianti nature and Florence in the background. Even though the weather was not exactly sunny, it allowed me to take home romantic and intimate portraits.

With the most breathtaking shots on the countryside in glamorous lights, with the groom leaned on his knees and the bride flaunting the flair of her gown, it all looked dreamy. I loved to see the comfort level of the couple with each other. The green and purple surrounding looked eye catchy and fun , and they definitely brought out the brighter side of the couple as I photographed them. Fresh and cool colors really did their magic!

The portrait was followed by the dinner, exciting speeches and the final dance where friends are literally unleashed to finish this unforgettable day.
