general questions
02. WILL YOU ALSO SHOOT DETAILS AND FAMILY PORTRAITS?
01. CAN WE talk?
I'm an Italian wedding photographer in Tuscany based in Florence so if you come for site inspection I'll more than happy to meet you in person. If not, I usually do a video call on Skype.
Yes. I love making creative detail shots, and I know how important group photos of family are too.
04. WHAT IF YOU GET SICK AND CAN'T MAKE IT?
03. CAN WE SEE A FULL WEDDING?
Although this has never happened to me in 10 years of wedding photography, I understand that illness and accidents can happen at inopportune moments. This is the most important reason why as a professional destination wedding photographer I decided to join the photography collective studio in 2011. After all these years we’ve grown organically into a team made by several professional photographers in Tuscany, me included. If me or one of our operators is sick or unavailable, I guarantee the presence of another associated professional photographer.
Sure! Please drop me a message via the contact form below and I'll reply to you with a list of full galleries to watch along all other wedding information.

07. THEN WHAT HAPPENS?
05. WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK OUR WEDDING DATE?
Once you've booked your photography, I'm available to you anytime to help answer questions you may have about the rest of your wedding planning. Moreover since every clients are unique I made an online wedding prep questionnaire which every customers can easily fill before the event. The purpose of this online form is to gather information about the day, your expectations, the major players, list of family formal group shots, and the intricacies of the event itself to better organise the photo service.
Once you're ready to book your photography, I'll need a 30% deposit and signed agreement to reserve your date. Once that's done, your date is officially booked, and I'll start making my travel and coverage plans. The balance payment will be due two weeks before the event day.
06. HOW CAN WE PAY?
I accept wired bank transfers, Transferwise, debit/credit card, Paypal and other online payments. Couples cover all transaction fees.

08. WHEN DO YOU START?
09. WILL YOU SHOOT DETAILS?
My standard destination weddings usually last about 8/10 hours. I start around two hours before you get dress to cover getting ready photos. For shorter coverage I can start from the wedding ceremony.
Absolutely. This is one of the first things I'll concentrate on when I arrive - dress, rings, shoes, invitations and any special details you want documented. I like to get these done first, so that I can then concentrate on documenting the human emotions and connections for the rest of the day.
10. WILL YOU PHOTOGRAPH THE GUYS GETTING READY?
11. WHAT HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER THE CEREMONY?
If you've booked a two photographers photo service of course yes. If I'm shooting on my own, and you're all getting ready in the same villa or hotel, I'll try to do my best to cover booth of you.
Usually we'll want to do the family formal portraits right after the ceremony, before anyone has the chance to wander off to the bathroom or the bar. You should nominate someone in your wedding party to be in charge of the group shotlist, getting people ready etc.
12. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO DO PORTRAITS?
Usually once we do the family formals, I'll take the couple off somewhere nearby but hopefully out of the way from the reception area where guests are enjoying cocktails. Depending on the schedule, your needs and/or desires I adapt my approach so we'll have anywhere between 30-60 minutes for portraits. If possible we may add some little extra time during the golden hour (period shortly before sunset) to take shots in the best light. We can include your wedding party for part of it, but I do prefer to spend more time making portraits with just the couple at this time.
13. WHAT YOU SHOOT AT RECEPTION AND DINNER?
Once we finish portraits we'll head back to your reception, and you'll often have a few moments to yourselves to freshen up, relax and enjoy the cocktail with your guests before the evening begins. During this time I'll shoot people, some details of the dinner and reception setup. At dinner I will be focus on speeches and whatever else happens over the course of the meal. Then we usually move on to the cake cutting and first dance.
14. WHEN YOU LEAVE?
15. DO YOU SHOOT WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?
Typically my wedding photo service is scheduled to end after 60 minutes of dancing for a total of continuous time coverage of 8 or 10 hours but if need and desire you may extend the time coverage.
For full day coverage I work always with a second shooter which help me make a more complete and better work. We typically split up and cover both the partners before the ceremony, making it possible to tell full story of your day.

16. HOW MANY PICTURES DO WE GET?
17. WHO EDITS THE IMAGES? ALL OF THEM? HOW?
The number of photographs taken depends on many things like the number of guests, hours of coverage, types of events. My bare minimum is 600 images hand edited one by one for an eight hours day which result to 1200 of total images because I deliver color and black and white versions for each photo. Please not that that number can be much more depending on your event. You will receive high resolution image files via a password protected online gallery from which are then available for download and printing.
I strongly believe that editing is a fundamental part my photography process, and therefore I need to personally hand edit every single image delivered without batching in bulk groups or mass producing the results to ensure they hold up to my vision and style.
18. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR PRODUCTS AND IMAGES?
Your images will be ready in around 20 weeks after the wedding, available for download on your password-protected online gallery. You will be able to download both high and low resolution files, and be able to order professional prints directly from the gallery. Upon final approval of album designs most albums are ready for delivery within 4 weeks.
19. WHAT ARE YOUR ALBUMS LIKE?
My top luxury albums are WEDDING BOOK™ and YOUNG BOOK™ album products from GRAPHISTUDIO™. They offer a variety of custom options and high end materials, and every product they make is completely handmade in Italy. There's a lot of attention to detail that goes into designing and building a wedding album. Cheaper album types (not made in Italy) can be found in the online store of your photo gallery.
20. HOW DO WE MAKE A BOOK/ALBUM?
Once you're ready to get started you can simply create a "favourites" collection from your online gallery, to be used in the preliminary design layout which I made. Then I show you the draft, and you give me your thoughts, and we go back and forth until you are happy and ready to go to print. The whole process usually takes about a 3 months from start to finish. When the products will arrive at my studio from the GRAPHISTUDIO™ lab I'll double check if everything is ok and I'll ship the book out to you.
