Certaldo Alto is one of those places where time seems to slow down, where every corner tells a story and every texture feels authentically Tuscan. It was the perfect setting for this family photo session with Marie, Alessandro, and their little boy, who were visiting Tuscany from Germany.
Wandering Through Timeless Tuscan Streets
We began our session walking through the charming streets of this medieval village. The warm tones of the brick buildings, the small details on doors and windows, and the quiet atmosphere created a beautiful and intimate backdrop. Certaldo Alto offers exactly what many families dream of when they think about Tuscany: authenticity, character, and a sense of calm that allows real moments to unfold naturally.
Marie and Alessandro were incredibly relaxed and open, which made the whole experience feel effortless. Their connection is genuine and full of tenderness, something that clearly shines through in the images. Their little boy brought an entirely different energy to the session — playful, curious, and full of life. He turned every moment into something spontaneous and joyful, making the storytelling even richer.

Golden Hour Among Cypress Trees
After exploring the village, we moved just a few kilometers into the countryside, where the landscape opens up into rolling hills and iconic cypress-lined paths. This transition is one of the reasons why Certaldo Alto is such a special location: within minutes, you go from historic architecture to dreamy Tuscan nature.
The highlight of the session was undoubtedly the cypress field during golden hour. As the sun began to set, the light turned soft and warm, wrapping the family in a golden glow. It was the perfect moment to slow down, play, and capture genuine emotions — laughter, hugs, and those small in-between gestures that make family photography so meaningful.
This session was a beautiful reminder that the best images come from connection, simplicity, and a place that naturally inspires both.
